Week #1 - Welcome! In the beginning...
Welcome to my Genius hour!
My name is Dave and I'm 31 years old. I have been really slacking with my physical fitness and mental health over the past few years. I've seen weight gain and I've notice physical tasks on the job getting harder and harder. Mentally, I find myself more agitated than ever and frustrated when I notice myself out of breath during routine duties of my job. Now, with this new chapter in my life beginning this is the perfect time to take action through slow, attainable goals which will hopefully develop into daily routines leading to a longer, healthier life.
Will consistently working out and slowly increasing my physical activity improve both my physical fitness and my mental health? What effects can I realistically expect? Let's find out!
I will track my progress by reflecting on how I am feeling at the end of each week both physically and mentally. I will try and keep track of the things that agitate me and the times on the job I feel myself out of breath. Hopefully, these will continuously diminish over the next few weeks.
