Week #3 - Baby it's cold outside
This week was a cold and snowy one! Wow, It seems like years since I remember having a snowfall that big! Having said that I ended up missing a day for walking :( The snow covered sidewalks and a casual -22 Degrees Celsius without wind chill made me feel less ashamed of not achieving my 5km/ day off goal I set out to achieve. However, I think by Shovelling and doing some extra push-ups I may have made up for it.
I've learned a little bit more about the effects of daily cardiovascular activities and the effects it can have on our health other than previously mentioned in week #2's Blog is evidence linking walking to having a glass of wine or a piece of dark chocolate. The article can be found here:

It also mentions that walking with a friend or family member can also make you feel more connected and happier. Maybe I'll invite my wife on my next walk?
Moving forward I realize it's not about the days I miss, it's about finding ways to continue to be active. Having said that, I have found some peace in going for these walks and I've started to enjoy embarking on them. I feel stronger and stronger everyday and have already begun to do some light jogging through sections of my route. Hopefully, the weather will calm down a little bit and allow me to continue as planned!
